PlacementNinja ("we", "us", "our") provides free placement-preparation resources — mock tests, a resume builder, a career blog, career assessments, and career counselling — to students across India. This policy explains what information we collect through placementninja.in, how we use it, and the choices you have.

What We Collect

• Account information: name, email address, and password (or your Google sign-in details) when you create an account.
• Contact form details: name, email, mobile number, college/university, and message content when you reach out via our Contact page.
• Resume Builder inputs: the education, experience, skills, and project details you enter to generate your resume and ATS score.
• Career Assessment responses: your answers to assessment questions, used to generate your personalised career report.
• Usage data: basic analytics such as pages visited and mock test attempts, used to improve the platform.

How We Use Your Information

• To create and manage your PlacementNinja account and dashboard.
• To generate your resume, ATS score, and career assessment report.
• To respond to messages sent through our Contact form.
• To send you placement tips, mock test updates, or newsletter emails you've opted into — you can unsubscribe at any time.
• To improve our tests, articles, and tools based on how they're used.

How We Store and Protect Your Data

Your account data, mock test attempts, saved resumes, and career assessment results are stored under your personal account using Firebase (Google Cloud infrastructure), and are only ever readable by you — not by other users of the site. Mock Tests, Resume Builder, and Career Assessment require you to be signed in, specifically so that your results and progress are saved to your account instead of being lost when you close the browser tab.

When you use the Resume Builder or Career Assessment tools, the information you enter is sent to Anthropic's Claude AI (via our own server, never directly from your browser) solely to generate your resume content, ATS suggestions, or career report. It is not used to train AI models, and it is not shared publicly.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties, and we do not share it with advertisers.

Your Choices

• You can update or delete your account information at any time from your Dashboard.
• You can request a copy of your data, or ask us to delete it, by emailing us (details below).
• You can opt out of email updates using the unsubscribe link in any email we send.

Cookies

We use basic cookies/local storage to keep you signed in and remember your preferences (such as your resume template selection). We do not use cookies for third-party advertising.

We may update this policy as PlacementNinja grows. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
